DEPARTMENT OF LAW
The Department of Law was established in Fall 2020 as a part of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (S3H). In its short journey towards achieving excellence in providing legal education it has achieved to surpass several milestones of excellence. The department of Law is committed to creating a dynamic, diverse, and professional environment that is conducive to learning and applying the law. We have built a team of faculty that combined with the depth of our academic program will make NUST law unique among the law schools in Pakistan. Our academic program is adopted keeping in view the needs of the society and the legal system of Pakistan. The teaching methodology is designed to enable our students to acquire professional skills and enhance their capacity of Legal Analysis, Legal Research and Writing, Legal Problem Solving, Client Services and Professional Responsibility. Along with a thrive towards critical analysis of prevailing legal problems we believe in practical legal education which provides an opportunity to our students to enhance their professional skills.

The Department of Law is a dynamic, newly established academic unit dedicated to delivering rigorous, practice-driven legal education and advancing the quality of legal education in Pakistan. Our purpose is to empower students with robust legal foundations, sharp critical thinking abilities, and professional competence. We are currently offering LLB (5 Years) and LLB (4 Years) degree programs, both structured in conformity with the standards of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). As the Department steadily strengthens its teaching and research capacity, we intend to launch LLM and PhD programs in the future. I invite prospective students to join the Department of Law and become part of our mission to champion excellence in legal education and professional growth in Pakistan.
