NUST Law School Students Visit to FOSPAH

-

Students of NUST Law School along with Faculty were hosted by Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat For Protection Against Harassment At Workplace (FOSPAH) on 24th October 2024.

The FOSPAH team including Law Officer Ms. Meher Jamy and Assistant Registrar Mr. Waqar Ahmed conducted an interactive session with the students. They highlighted the important aspects of the law and the role of FOSPAH in ensuring a safe and conducive environment for all at the workplace and also protecting women’s property rights. They also explained the viability of FOSPAH due to the ease of access to and process of this institution with its result-oriented procedure marked by cost and time-effective remedies (i.e. online complaint system, no fee, 90 days maximum duration to give a decision etc).

The delegation also met the Honorable Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar who has a remarkable career, spanning two decades, in women’s rights/empowerment. The Honorable Ombudsperson interacted with the students, answered their questions, and shared valuable insights as to how women’s rights/law could be integrated into the study scheme of relevant degree programs such as law. The students’ active participation and interest in the session were appreciated by the FOSPAH team and the Honourable Ombudsperson.”
